Organisations Supporting of OpenFOAM and the Foundation in 2018
Using OpenFOAM for critical applications? Ensure ongoing maintenance of OpenFOAM, prioritised to your needs.
The Process Engineering Consortium supports development of OpenFOAM for CFD simulation in Chemical and Process Engineering
At the core of OpenFOAM is a unique, and highly extensible, software development kit (“devkit”) for CFD, consisting of 1 million lines of C++ code, used to build robust CFD applications, which can be extended and customised, quickly and conveniently.
A full-time team of experts, mainly from CFD Direct (including its creator, Henry Weller), maintain this devkit. They repair 400 issues per year, redesign components, ensure compatibility with dependent software, package, release, document and promote the work.
The cost of maintenance is €250k per year. We offer maintenance plans to enable companies to fund these costs, ranging from €1k – 20k per year.
Poor maintenance presents a risk to your business. Mitigate that risk, by purchasing a maintenance plan and help reach our funding target for maintenance in 2018.
